Who We Are
Advantage Robotics is owned and operated out of Cochrane Alberta with the sole purpose of encouraging and facilitating learning the basic technological principles that make our world function. Getting started can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we want to make it fun and easy, for anyone! Our projects require absolutely no technical knowledge, and are designed to teach programming, electrical circuit wiring, and mechanical design to anyone who is interested in understanding the inner workings of the technology that we use every day. Whether you are interested in pursuing an engineering or STEM degree, looking to become a mechatronics hobbyist, wanting to give an educational gift, or simply learn to fix more things at home, our projects are the perfect way to get started.
A Few Words From
The Founder
As a professional engineer, one of the most important skills that I have learned has nothing to do with technology. Being technically proficient is important, however it is nearly worthless if you are not able to communicate your ideas effectively. I have always loved teaching, and I figured if I can explain complex technological principles to managers and executives in a way that makes it easily digestible (and doesn't put them to sleep) then I should be able to explain basic principles to anybody in a way that is both fun and engaging. Because the basics of mechatronics are really not that difficult, I want to prove that you don't have to have an engineering degree to get started. Advantage Robotics is my way of combining my love for mentoring with my obsession with technology, and helping others to discover the joys of creating something cool!
